Cooking with BKA (meat and vegetarian)

Cooking on the streets of Korea

Korean Cooking Series Part II

Join BKA members Lauren Nelson and Holly Pearson again on Zoom for round II of Korean cooking classes! This series will focus on street food and how it has become an integral part of Korea’s rich history.

There are two cooking classes: Meat and Vegetarian. Each has 4 sessions and 8 participants.

Each class will last around two hours and we will focus on one or two main dishes as well as some sides. If you have any dietary restrictions, let us know ahead of time and we can offer suggestions for substitutions. All levels of cooking experience are welcome to join.

You will be provided with an essential Korean cooking starter kit that will include many pantry items that are commonly used in Korean dishes. There will be at least two pick up locations. If you cannot get to any of these we may be able to ship the kit. You will be responsible for purchasing fresh produce, meat, and other ingredients on your own. Each menu and a list of ingredients will be emailed to you a week before the scheduled class.

Registration for this cooking series will be open to paying BKA members until August 1st. After that it will be opened up to the rest of the BKA community on a first come, first served basis.

Register: send an email to info@bkadoptee.org and you will receive a Google Form to complete your registration.

Pick up locations for meal kits: Watertown, Salem, Cambridge, and Pepperell MA. The sooner you register, the more time we have to arrange alternative ways to deliver the meal kits.
