This year the Korean Lunar New Year's Day is Monday, February 8th.
Lunar New Year is one of the most significant traditional Korean holidays and one of the most celebrated. Also known as Seollal, it consists of a period of celebrations lasting three days and is typically a family holiday. During Seollal, Koreans traditionally wear hanbok, perform ancestral rites, play folk games, eat traditional foods, listen to stories, and catch up with one another.
We invite you to celebrate the upcoming Korean Lunar New Year together at our annual get-together to ring in the Year of the Monkey on Saturday, February 13 starting at 6pm. We're mixing it up a little this year with a more mingle-friendly event at a new-to-BKA restaurant in the Fenway area.
Family and friends are always welcome. We hope to see you there!
