August's meeting will discuss the film "AKA Dan". It can be watched on Youtube or Hulu. Courtney will host this meeting and it will be held at the Panera Bread in Harvard Square.
KADtalk is a group of adult Korean adoptees who meet bi-monthly to discuss literature and films by and about transracial adoptees (especially Korean adoptees), Koreans and Korean Americans.
We aim to provide a safe and comfortable space for Korean adoptees to explore topics personal and related to us, and to discuss literature and film with an astute and critical eye. As we meet together, we also seek to build community by sharing our thoughts and experiences and learning from one another.
We meet in Harvard Square, often over a meal, at a pre-determined location around 6:30/7pm based on our discussion needs. Our location is determined a month prior by our meeting host. We take turns being host, which entails sending out meeting details, reminders, and discussion questions; keeping track of RSVPs; staking out a space for us to meet; leading the discussion, etc.
Our group is as powerful and effective as its members, so we all play an active role in the group.
If you’re interested in becoming part of our group contact Saebom at email@example.com and tell us a bit about yourself.
